Darryl wears a flat cap on almost every shoot. It has become his personal signature: understated, familiar and fitting for his affection for craft, vintage clothing and work that is not tied to a season.
The studio is not about posing. First comes a clear understanding of what the commission should evoke; then setting, styling and technique are arranged so people can move freely and the decisive moment has room to appear.
